Stocks in Focus: Brightcom Group, Jupiter Wagons, L&T Finance Holdings and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures were trading in the red before the market’s opening on Friday. Indices are expected to open on a similar flat-to-negative note.

Domestic benchmark indices, NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex, ended higher on Thursday, ending their 2-day losing streak. Nifty jumped 141.25 points or 0.66% to settle at 21,658.60, while Sensex climbed 0.69% or 490.97 points to 71,847.57.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on January 5.

L&T Finance Holdings: The financial services company expects retail disbursements for Q3 FY24 at Rs 14,500 crore, up 25% year-on-year (YoY) and a portfolio realisation of 91% by the end of the quarter. L&T Finance Holdings has successfully raised Rs 500 crore through private placement of non-convertible debentures.

REC Ltd: REC Power Development and Consultancy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Navratna enterprise, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 2,094 crore with the Government of Gujarat for the implementation of a smart metering project in Paschim Gujarat Vij Company.

Jupiter Wagons: The railway wagon manufacturer has received a Rs 473 crore order from the Ministry of Defence to manufacture and supply 697 Bogie open military wagons.

Lupin: The pharma company has received tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Dapagliflozin and Saxagliptin tablets that will be manufactured at Lupin’s Pithampur facility in India. 

Grasim Industries: The board of the cement manufacturing company approved its plans to raise funds up to Rs 4,000 crore via a rights issue of 2.2 crore shares at a price of Rs 1,812 apiece. 

Brightcom Group: Vijay Kancharla has tendered his resignation as CIO and Executive Director of the digital marketing company, citing personal reasons, effective January 2.
