The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading lower by 78 points at 26,160, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Thursday. 

Earlier on Wednesday, 29 October, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex surged by 369 points or 0.44%, and settled at 84,997, while the Nifty50 traded 0.45% higher or 118 points, closing at 26,054.

Quarterly Results Today: Hyundai Motor India, Swiggy, Canara Bank, ITC, Cipla, NTPC, Union Bank of India, Aditya Birla Capital, Birla Cable, Coromandel International, Dabur India, Adani Power, Bandhan Bank, DLF, Exide Industries, Indian Energy Exchange, Lodha Developers, Nippon Life India Asset Management, Navin Fluorine International, Manappuram Finance, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Welspun Corp, Pidilite Industries, and United Spirits are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for July-September.

Dilip Buildcon: Dilip Buildcon secured a sub-contract worth Rs 307.08 crore, including GST, for the “Development of Barpali loading bulb at Kusara” project under the Deputy Chief Engineer (Construction), Jharsuguda, Chakradharpur Division, South Eastern Railway. ISC Projects Private Ltd awarded the contract, which will be executed over 24 months on an item rate basis.

CONCOR: Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop and manage Common Rail Handling Operations for all upcoming container terminals at the proposed Vadhvan Port. Under the agreement, CONCOR will act as the Common Rail Handling Operator, offering consultancy and operational support in rail coordination, infrastructure planning, and container handling. The Rs 500 crore project will be developed in phases, with operations expected to start by 2030.

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories received a Notice of Non-Compliance (NON) from Canada’s Pharmaceutical Drugs Directorate regarding its Abbreviated New Drug Submission (ANDS) for the Semaglutide injection. The company reaffirmed its confidence in the product’s quality, safety, and comparability and remains committed to introducing this therapy in Canada and other markets as soon as possible.

Zydus Lifesciences: Zydus Lifesciences received an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the USFDA for its Baddi manufacturing plant following an inspection conducted between August 4 and 13. The facility has been classified as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI), and the USFDA has officially closed the inspection.

Wipro: The company announced signing a multi-year strategic partnership with HanesBrands Inc., a global leader in iconic apparel. Using its Wipro Intelligence WINGS platform, the company will modernise HanesBrands’ IT infrastructure and strengthen its cybersecurity framework with an AI-first approach.

Aditya Birla Capital: Aditya Birla Capital invested Rs 382.5 crore on a rights basis in Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company. Despite the investment, the company’s ownership percentage remains unchanged, and Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance continues to be its subsidiary.

Ola Electric: Ola Electric Mobility received an Investigation Report from the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), which directed the company to submit its response within seven days. The CCPA has scheduled a hearing on 10 November 2025.
