The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading lower by 23 points at 24,689, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, 13 August, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex surged by 304 points or 0.38%, and settled at 80,539, while the Nifty50 traded 0.54% higher or 131 points, closing at 24,619.

Quarterly Results Today: AstraZeneca Pharma India, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Vodafone Idea, Indian Oil Corporation, Amara Raja Energy & Mobility, Ashok Leyland, Inox Wind, Patanjali Foods, Swan Energy, Hindustan Copper, Inox Green Energy Services, Inox Wind, Valor Estate, Easy Trip Planners, GE Power India, Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services, and are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for April-June.
Infosys: Infosys will acquire a 75% stake in Versent Group, Australiaβs leading digital transformation solutions provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of Telstra Group, for AUD 233.25 million. Telstra will retain the remaining 25% minority stake.
Rail Vikas Nigam: The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for installing a Video Surveillance System (VSS) at 441 D and E category stations from Southern Railway. The scope of the order also entails upgrades at 43 higher-category stations. The contract is worth Rs 90.65 crore and has to be completed in 18 months.Β
Zydus Lifesciences: Zydus Lifesciences underwent a USFDA inspection at its formulation manufacturing plant in SEZβII, Ahmedabad, from August 11β13. The Pre-Approval Inspection (PAI) for three products, focusing on cGMP compliance, concluded with no observations. Separately, a surveillance inspection at its Baddi, Himachal Pradesh facility, from August 4β13, ended with four observations, none related to data integrity.
Jain Irrigation Systems: The company has announced securing a Rs 135 crore order from MSEDCL under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM B Scheme to design, supply, install, and commission 5,438 off-grid DC solar water pumps across Maharashtra.
ICICI Bank: The private lender has reduced its minimum account balance requirements for metro and urban locations to Rs 15,000 from Rs 50,000, for semi-urban areas to Rs 7,500 from Rs 25,000, and for rural locations to Rs 2,500 from Rs 10,000.
