The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 62 points at 22,749, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Wednesday. 

Earlier on Tuesday, 27 October, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 8.08 points or 0.01%, and settled at 73,598 while the Nifty50 traded 0.02% lower by 3.47 points, closing at 22,749.

Lemon Tree Hotels: The company has signed a licence agreement to open a 76-room Lemon Tree Hotel in Sirhind, Punjab. The property will be managed by its subsidiary, Carnation Hotels.

Exide Industries: The company has invested Rs 150 crore in its subsidiary, Exide Energy Solutions, through a rights issue. The funds will support the subsidiary’s financing needs for its greenfield manufacturing plant in Bengaluru, which will produce lithium-ion battery cells, modules and packs.

Tata Motors: Tata Motors’ tender offer for Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group has crossed the 80% threshold. Provisional results suggest that the offeror will hold an 89.42% stake in Iveco, excluding treasury shares.

Mishra Dhatu Nigam: The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Heavy Water Board (HWB) and the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) to work together on recovering nickel and cobalt from plant reverts. The collaboration aims to improve resource recovery, encourage sustainable manufacturing and support the circular economy.
