The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading higher by 21 points at 25,937, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Wednesday. 

Earlier on Tuesday, 16 December, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex traded lower by 533 points or 0.63%, and settled at 84,679, while the Nifty50 traded 0.64% lower or 167 points, closing at 25,860.

NBCC (India): NBCC (India) has bagged new work orders worth nearly Rs 345.04 crore (excluding GST), including a major project management consultancy assignment valued at around Rs 333 crore from IIT Mandi, received in the normal course of business.

Ahluwalia Contracts: Ahluwalia Contracts has secured an Rs 888.38 crore EPC order from the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation to execute construction and development works for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra at Punauradham, Bihar.

BEML: BEML has won an order worth about Rs 110 crore from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of engines, as disclosed in a stock exchange filing.

Glenmark Pharma: Glenmark’s subsidiary, Glenmark Speciality S.A., has signed an exclusive licensing, collaboration, and distribution agreement with Jiangsu Hansoh Pharmaceutical Group for Aumolertinib, a third-generation EGFR-TKI used to treat non-small cell lung cancer.

HCL Technologies: NSE Academy has partnered with HCLTech to roll out joint certification programs in technology and finance, aimed at building future-ready digital skills for students and professionals across India and the MESA region.

Kaynes Technology India: Kaynes Technology’s subsidiary, Kaynes Semicon, has entered into strategic partnerships with Japan-based AOI Electronics and Mitsui & Co. to strengthen its upcoming semiconductor manufacturing operations in India.
