The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 115 points at 22,370, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Friday.
Earlier on Thursday, 8 October, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex plummeted by 1,045 points or 1.44%, and settled at 71,593 while the Nifty50 traded 1.64% lower by 371 points, closing at 22,231.

NCC: NCC has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) worth Rs 1,286.03 crore from Hyderabad Growth Corridor for the construction of Radial Road-2 in Telangana. The project will connect the Outer Ring Road near Budwel to Nacharam on NH-167N, covering Package 1 from Budwel to Shabad.
KEC International: KEC International has secured new orders worth Rs 1,030 crore across its transmission and distribution, renewables, and cables and conductors businesses. With these orders, the company’s year-to-date order intake has crossed Rs 8,600 crore.
Pace Digitek: Pace Digitek has received a Letter of Intent from BSES Rajdhani Power for developing a 57.5 MW/115 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) in Delhi. The project will follow a 12-year build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) model, with an estimated investment of Rs 179.4 crore. Execution is scheduled for completion within seven months.
Waaree Renewable Technologies: Waaree Renewable Technologies has received a Letter of Acceptance from a public sector undertaking (PSU) for turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) work on a 5 MWp grid-connected solar photovoltaic project. The contract also includes comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 10 years.
Lupin: Lupin has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Phytonadione Injectable Emulsion USP, 1 mg/0.5 mL, in a single-dose prefilled syringe.
Hexaware Technologies: Hexaware Technologies has entered into a multi-year partnership with Anthropic and become a preferred partner in the Claude Partner Network. The collaboration will integrate Claude into two of Hexaware’s platforms: Zerovity, an AI-native engineering platform, and AgentVerse, an agent-building and governance platform with more than 600 pre-built agents.
