Stocks in Focus: ONGC, BHEL, Reliance Industries, GR Infraprojects, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading 0.04% higher by 8.50 points at 22,609.50, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Wednesday.  

On Tuesday, 21 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex fell 52.63 points, or 0.07%, to end at 73,953.31, while the Nifty50 traded 27.05 points, or 0.12%, higher and settled at 22,529.05.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 22 May.

ONGC: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has increased its cumulative production of crude oil and natural gas by 20% to 47 Million Metric Tons. 

Reliance Industries: The company has signed an agreement with Nel ASA through its fully owned subsidiary Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser for manufacturing electrolysers in India.

GR Infraprojects: The company has emerged as the lowest bidder for two road projects in Maharashtra worth Rs 1,997 crore and the other one for Rs 2,350 crore.

BHEL: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) reported a 25.6% YoY decline to Rs 489.62 crore for Q4FY24, from Rs 658.02 crore reported in Q4FY23.

Welspun Enterprises: In its quarterly report for January-March, the company reported a 50.3% year-on-year decline to Rs 77.35 crore during the quarter from Rs 155.60 crore reported in the same quarter last year.

United Spirits: The company has received a notice from the Water Resources Department, Maharashtra, to pay Rs 345.45 crore in water charge arrears. 

Biocon: Biocon Biologics, the company’s subsidiary, has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its first-to-file application for Yesafili.

Indoco Remedies: The company has received final approval from the USFDA for an abbreviated new drug application for pregabalin capsules.
