The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 93 points at 24,093, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Thursday. 

Earlier on Wednesday, 2 September, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 373 points or 0.49%, and settled at 76,570 while the Nifty50 traded 0.59% lower or 141 points, closing at 23,914.

Power Grid Corporation of India: Power Grid Corporation of India has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for an inter-state transmission system project to evacuate power from Rajasthan REZ Phase-IV. The company will execute the project on a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis at quoted annual transmission charges of Rs 3,244.33 crore.

HUDCO: Housing & Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Bihar to provide financial assistance of up to Rs 25,000 crore over five years. The funding will support the development of industrial infrastructure, including land acquisition for various projects.

Page Industries: Page Industries has received a notice from the Dubai Court over a claim filed by Yellow Flower Trading LLC (YFT), Dubai, related to disputes over the parties’ distribution arrangement in the UAE. The claim seeks AED 113.5 million, along with interest at 9% per annum from October 10, 2025, which YFT has identified as the date of the alleged unlawful termination, until full payment.
