The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.86% higher by 189.5 points at 22,335.5, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, 4 March, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slipped by 96.01 points or 0.13% and settled at 72,989.93 while the Nifty50 traded 0.17% lower by 36.65 points, settling at 22,082.65.

GE Vernova T&D India: The company has secured three new orders worth Rs 500 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for the supply and installation of transformers and reactors under bulk procurement.

Power Grid Corp: The company has emerged as the successful bidder for three projects, establishing an inter-state transmission system on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. 

Adani Wilmar: The company has announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire GD Foods Manufacturing (India). The acquisition will be executed in multiple tranches, with 80% being acquired in the first tranches and the remaining 20% over a period of the next three years. 

Grasim Industries: The company has announced the production of Birla Opus Paints at its plant in Mahad, Maharashtra, with a total installed capacity of 230 million litres per annum (MLPA). With this, the total installed capacity of decorative paints for Birla Opus has reached 1,096 MLPA. 

Walchandnagar Industries: The company has announced that it has acquired a 60.3% stake in AiCitta Intelligent Technology, which is engaged in the R&D business and the manufacturing of unmanned ground vehicles. 

ABB India: The subsidiary of the company, ABB Motion Ventures, has announced a strategic investment in UptimeAI with the aim of transforming how industrial customers manage the health and performance of motors, drives, and related assets.

Welspun Specialty Solutions: The company has announced emerging as the lowest bidder for a contract to supply 4,050 tonnes of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a series of supercritical thermal power projects. The contract was received from Bharat Heavy Electricals for a value of Rs 231.77 crore. 

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation: The company’s subsidiary, ONGC Green, has announced that it will acquire a 100% stake in PTC Energy for a total consideration of Rsa 925 crore. PTC Energy operates 157 wind turbine generators.
