The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 200 points at 24,580, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Monday.
Earlier on Friday, 31 July, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 166 points or 0.21%, and settled at 78,094, while the Nifty50 traded 0.27% higher or 66 points, closing at 24,383.

Sterlite Technologies: The company has announced securing a multi-year supply agreement worth Rs 960 crore to supply fibre optic cables to a domestic telecom operator.
Zydus Lifesciences: Zydus Lifesciences has received the Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its injectable manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad with a Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) classification.
Marathon Nextgen Realty: The company’s subsidiary has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) for a cluster redevelopment project in Sewri, Mumbai. The project includes a high-rise residential tower and high-street retail spaces, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of around Rs 450 crore for the company.
Lupin: The company has secured USFDA approval for Diazepam Injection USP, 10 mg/2 mL (5 mg/mL), in single-dose prefilled syringes under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act).
Bharat Electronics: BEL has secured additional orders worth Rs 847 crore since July 13. The contracts include orders for electro-optics, a security operations centre, seekers, components, spares, and related services.
NCC: NCC has received three new orders worth Rs 1,052.71 crore in July. Of the total, projects worth Rs 590.38 crore belong to the buildings division, while contracts worth Rs 462.33 crore are related to the water division.
Dr Reddy’s Lab: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Rituximab, a biosimilar version of Rituxan, in the US. The drug is used to treat several B-cell cancers, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, as well as certain autoimmune diseases.
Powercia: The company has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) to develop a 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat. The project will supply power at a tariff of Rs 3.435 per kWh for a period of 25 years.
