The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 12 points at 24,163, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a lackluster start on Tuesday.
Earlier on Monday, 24 August, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 171 points or 0.22%, and settled at 77,369 while the Nifty50 traded 0.14% lower or 32 points, closing at 24,219.

Tata Consultancy Services: The Board of Tata Consultancy Services Netherlands BV, a wholly owned subsidiary of TCS, has approved the acquisition of 100% equity in MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH (MHP), a subsidiary of Porsche AG, for an enterprise value of €320 million. Following the acquisition, Porsche AG has signed a five-year strategic agreement with MHP and TCS worth €1.25 billion.
Aegis Logistics: The company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement worth Rs 525 crore with its step-down subsidiary, Aegis Terminal (Pipavav), to transfer a specialised ammonia storage terminal at Pipavav Port. The facility has a static storage capacity of 36,000 MT and will be transferred through a slump sale on a going-concern basis.
Coal India: Coal India has incorporated CIL Global Pte, a wholly owned subsidiary based in Singapore, to explore overseas opportunities in critical mineral asset acquisitions. The subsidiary will also help manage overseas investments efficiently and provide greater flexibility for future acquisitions.
