Stocks in Focus: Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, were trading 0.11% higher by 25 points at 22,680, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Friday.  

On Thursday, 25 April, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained 486.50 points, or 0.66%, to end at 74,339.44, while the Nifty50 traded 167.95 points, or 0.75%, higher and settled at 22,570.35.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 26 April.

Quarterly Results Today: Bajaj Finserv, Shriram Finance, SBI Cards and Payment Services, Maruti Suzuki India, HCL Technologies, SBI Life Insurance Co, Supreme Industries, Atul, Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, KSB, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India, Bajaj Holdings and Investment, Mahindra Lifespace Developers, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, Bank of Maharashtra, Usha Martin, Mastek, Indiabulls Real Estate, VST Industries, Eveready Industries India, and Force Motors are some of the prominent companies that are set to release their quarterly earnings for January-March.

Tech Mahindra: in its quarterly report for January-March, the company reported a 40.86% year-on-year decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 661 crore. 

Bajaj Finance: The non-banking finance company reported a 21% YoY increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 3,825 crore from Rs 3,158 crore reported in the same quarter last year. 

Tata Steel: Tata Steel UK has announced its plans to shutter two outdated blast furnaces. This will be part of its GBP 1.25-billion investment plan to transition to a modern Electric Arc Furnace at its Port Talbot steelworks in south Wales.

NLC India: The company has announced that they have successfully commissioned a 3×600 megawatt thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh. 

RITES: The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ultratech Cement to provide project management consultancy services for Rail Infrastructure projects.

IndiGo: The company has ordered 30 A350-900 widebody aircraft with European plane maker Airbus. 

Biocon: The company has received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to amalgamate biofusion therapeutics with Biocon Pharma.
