The GIFT Nifty futures, which are an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, were trading lower by 15 points at 25,871, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a muted start on Thursday. 

Earlier on Wednesday, 17 December, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex traded lower by 120 points or 0.14%, and settled at 84,559, while the Nifty50 traded 0.16% lower or 41 points, closing at 25,818.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 17 December.

Titagarh Rail: Titagarh Rail Systems has received a Letter of Acceptance from Indian Railways for its first safety and signalling order worth Rs 273.24 crore. The contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of Rail Borne Maintenance Vehicles, along with training and maintenance support.

KPI Green Energy: KP Group has signed an MoU with the Government of Botswana to jointly develop large-scale renewable energy, storage, and transmission infrastructure projects, with planned investments of about $4 billion (Rs 36,000 crore).

AstraZeneca: AstraZeneca Pharma has secured approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) under the Directorate General of Health Services to import its new cancer drug, datopotamab deruxtecan, branded as Datverzo, for sale and distribution in India.

HCL Technologies: ASN Bank, the Netherlands’ fourth-largest retail lender, has appointed HCLTech as a strategic partner under a multi-year deal to manage enterprise applications and enhance service delivery using a distributed operating model.

Cyient: Cyient Semiconductors Singapore has signed a definitive agreement to acquire over 65% stake in Kinetic Technologies for $93 million, strengthening its position in custom power ICs for Edge AI and high-performance computing markets.

Antony Waste Handling: Antony Waste Handling’s subsidiary, AG Enviro Infra Projects, has won two contracts worth Rs 1,330 crore from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for municipal solid waste collection and transportation in Mumbai through a consortium structure.

Mahindra Lifespace: Mahindra Lifespace Developers has launched β€œMahindra Blossom,” a residential project in Whitefield, Bengaluru, with an estimated gross development value of around Rs 1,900 crore.

GE Vernova T&D India: The company has announced receiving a Letter of Award from Power Grid Corporation of India to refurbish the 2Γ—500 MW HVDC Chandrapur back-to-back link connecting northern and southern India. The project involves upgrading HVDC thyristor valves along with control and protection systems.
