The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 74 points at 23,115, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Monday. 

Earlier on Friday, 25 September, the domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 315 points or 0.43%, and settled at 73,895 while the Nifty50 traded 0.34% lower by 77 points, closing at 23,140.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 28 September.

Unichem Laboratories: The US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) conducted an inspection at Unichem Laboratories’ formulation facility in Pilerne, Goa, from September 21 to 26, 2026. The inspection concluded with five observations related to procedural enhancements.

Prestige Estates Projects: The company’s subsidiary, Prestige Hospitality Ventures (PHVL), has decided to withdraw its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP), citing strategic considerations and uncertain market conditions. PHVL may submit a fresh DRHP to SEBI in the future for a proposed IPO.

Signature Global: The company has acquired around 194.22 acres of land in Farrukhnagar, Gurugram. The acquisition is expected to add approximately 6.77 million square feet of developable area to the company’s pipeline, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of Rs 5,500-6,000 crore.

Zydus Lifesciences: The USFDA conducted an on-site inspection of Zydus Lifesciences’ pharmacovigilance and post-marketing surveillance systems at its New Jersey office in the US. The inspection took place from September 22 to 25, 2026, and concluded with nil observations.

NTPC Green Energy: NTPC Green Energy has commenced commercial operations of the first 81.34 MW capacity of the 650 MW Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The project forms part of the 500 MW REMCL RTC project being developed by its subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy, with operations starting from September 26.

NMDC: The company has commissioned its 2 million tonne per annum (MTPA) pellet plant at Nagarnar in Chhattisgarh. The facility is part of a Rs 5,427-crore integrated project covering iron ore processing, pipeline transportation and pellet production, linking the company’s Bacheli iron ore operations with its steel plant at Nagarnar.

Rashtriya Chemicals: Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers’ board has approved a Rs 797-crore purchase order for Larsen & Toubro on a lowest-tender basis. The order covers engineering, manufacturing, supply, construction, erection, commissioning and guarantee runs for the revamp of the ammonia plant at Thai. The project aims to reduce specific energy consumption.

Steel Authority of India: SAIL and Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) have signed an MoU to jointly develop and operate the Indikatta Ramnagore Coal Block of SAIL and the East of Damagoria (Kalyaneshwari) Coal Block of BCCL in West Bengal.
