The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 39 points at 25,472, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Friday.

Earlier on Thursday, 18 September, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 320 points or 0.39%, and settled at 83,014, while the Nifty50 traded 0.37% higher or 93 points, closing at 25,424.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 19 September.

Vedanta: Vedanta announced that the Andhra Pradesh Department of Mines & Geology declared it the preferred bidder for the Punnam manganese block. The company qualified through the e-auction process and secured the block on 18 September 2025.

Texmaco Rail: Texmaco Rail & Engineering secured an Rs 86.85 crore order from Ultratech Cement Limited to supply BCFC wagons along with a brake van. The company plans to complete delivery by March 2026.

Sasken Technologies: Sasken Technologies entered a strategic partnership with VicOne, a subsidiary of Trend Micro and a leader in automotive cybersecurity, to strengthen in-vehicle and fleet-wide cybersecurity for global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

Adani Shares: SEBI dismissed allegations of stock manipulation against the Adani Group made by US short-seller Hindenburg Research. The regulator confirmed the charges could not be substantiated and closed the matter without imposing penalties on Gautam Adani, Rajesh Adani, Adani Ports, or Adani Power.

Biocon: Biocon Biologics (BBL), a subsidiary of Biocon, announced that its biosimilar Yesafili (aflibercept) to Eylea has been included in Ontario, Canada’s public funding system for treating retinal diseases. The funding covers both vial and prefilled syringe forms of the 2 mg/0.05 ml dosage, improving patient access under provincial insurance.

Unichem Lab: Unichem Laboratories received a demand notice from the European Commission, Belgium, to pay a fine of €19.5 million (comprising €13.97 million as principal and €5.5 million as interest) linked to the Perindopril drug case. Its wholly owned subsidiary has already paid €2.79 million in instalments, leaving a balance of €16.69 million payable.

JSW Energy: JSW Neo Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, signed a definitive agreement with Statkraft IH Holding AS to acquire 100% equity in Tidong Power Generation (TPGPL), which is developing a 150 MW hydropower project, for Rs 1,728 crore. Following the acquisition, TPGPL will operate as a subsidiary of JSW Neo Energy and a step-down subsidiary of JSW Energy.
