Stocks in Focus: Wipro, KP Group, Tata Power, Adani Green Energy, and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.28% lower by 63 points at 22,557.50 indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Thursday. 

On Tuesday, 25 February, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 148 points or 0.20% and settled at 74,602, while the Nifty50 traded 0.03% lower by 6 points, settling at 22,548.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 27 February.

Wipro: The company has announced plans to invest $200 million in its subsidiary, Wipro Ventures, aiming to accelerate the focus on early- to mid-stage startups.

KP Group: The company has announced signing a MoU with the Renewable Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, to set up various solar, wind, hybrid, BESS, and biomass-based projects in Madhya Pradesh.

Tata Power: The company has announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Assam Government to tie up and support up to 5,000 MW of renewable and clean energy projects that comprise wind, solar, hydro, and energy storage for a total investment of Rs 30,000 crore. 

Adani Green Energy: The subsidiary of the company, Adani Saur Urja has announced securing a Letter of Award (LoA) from Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation for procuring a 1,250 megawatts (MW) energy storage capacity from pumped hydro storage projects.

SpiceJet: In its quarterly earnings for October-September, the company reported a net step decline in net profit to Rs 26 crore for the quarter compared to Rs 300 crore reported in the same quarter last year. 

Infosys: The company has launched an open-source Responsible AI toolkit with the aim of addressing risks and ethical concerns. 

Waaree Energies: The company has announced that it is securing an order to supply solar modules for 410 MWp from ABREL EPC, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aditya Birla Renewables. 

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: The company has received an Establishment Inspection Report from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its API manufacturing facility in Bollaram, Hyderabad. After the completion of its inspection, the manufacturing facility was classified as Voluntary Action Indicated.

Caplin Point Laboratories: The company has received approval from the USFDA for its Brimonidine Tartrate and Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution, which is used for reducing elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
