Stocks in Focus: Wipro, Railtel, Bharat Electronics and Others

The GIFT Nifty futures were trading in the red before the market’s opening on Wednesday. Indices are expected to open on a similar negative note.

Domestic benchmark indices NSE Nifty 50 and S&P BSE Sensex closed higher on Tuesday amid buying due to boosted investor sentiment after easing retail inflation. Nifty closed 127.20 points or 0.59% higher at 21,743.25, while Sensex gained 482.70 points or 0.68% to settle at 71,555.19.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on February 14.

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL): The aerospace and defence company has bagged two orders worth around Rs 2282 crore, which includes a Rs 2,167 crore order from the Indian Navy for an indigenously designed and developed EW suite for use on-board warship. 

Adani Group Companies: Global rating agency Moody’s has revised the outlook for four Adani group companies, Adani Electricity Mumbai, Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Green and Adani Transmission, to ‘stable’ from ‘negative’ while affirming their ratings at Baa3.

Lemon Tree Hotel: The hospitality company signed a license agreement for an upcoming hotel in Noida, under its brand ‘Lemon Tree Hotel’, in addition to six existing and four upcoming properties in Uttar Pradesh.

Railtel Corporation: The telecom company has secured a Rs 139.73 crore order from Prasar Bharati Broadcasting Corporation for the design, development, implementation, operations and maintenance of its OTT platform. 

Vishnu Prakash R Punglia: The construction engineering company has received a Letter of Award from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd (MRVCL) for a contract worth Rs 73.92 crore for the construction of a Railway Station along with other allied works at Chikhloli Suburban Railway Station.

Wipro: The IT major has acquired a 60% stake in US-based insurtech firm Aggne Global and its Hyderabad-based affiliate Aggne Global IT Services for $66 million to strengthen its consulting capabilities.

Companies announcing their Q3FY24 Results today: Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail, Eros International Media, Gland Pharma, Glenmark Pharma, Indiabulls Housing Finance, Mahindra and Mahindra, KPI Green Energy, Liberty Shoes, Muthoot Finance and Sun TV Network, among others.
