The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading lower by 73 points at 24,618, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Wednesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, 2 September, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex slumped by 2070 points or 0.26%, and settled at 80,158, while the Nifty50 traded 0.18% higher or 45 points, closing at 24,580.

Zydus Lifesciences: Zydus Lifesciences launched Indiaβs first trivalent influenza vaccine, VaxiFluTM, to protect against seasonal flu. Recommended for individuals aged six months and above, the vaccine incorporates updated strains based on WHOβs annual surveillance to ensure targeted protection during the current flu season.
Lemon Tree Hotels: Lemon Tree Hotels signed three new properties, which are Lemon Tree Premier, Pushkar; Lemon Tree Premier, Ajmer; and Keys Lite by Lemon Tree Hotels, Ajmer. Carnation Hotels Private Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary, will manage these properties.
Indus Towers: The companyβs Board of Directors have approved the companyβs expansion into African markets, starting with Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia. CEO Prachur Sah said the move aligns with the companyβs vision for long-term sustainable growth and value creation for shareholders.
Tata Consultancy Services: TCS signed a β¬550-million, seven-year deal with Scandinavian insurer Tryg to simplify and standardise operations across its three core markets. TCS will deploy AI and Cloud services to automate processes, enhance delivery, and improve customer experience across Trygβs IT infrastructure.
Waaree Energies: Waaree Energiesβ board approved the acquisition of a 64% stake in Kotsonβs Pvt Ltd, a transformer maker, for Rs 192 crore, making it a subsidiary. Kotsonβs, founded in 1978, designs and supplies transformer solutions with a plant capacity of 4,000 MVA. Waaree Energies will also acquire 100% of Impactgrid Renewables Pvt Ltd from its wholly owned unit Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd. Impactgrid, a step-down subsidiary, was recently incorporated and remains non-operational.
Adani Power: Adani Power secured approval from the Ministry of Coal to begin operations at the Dhirauli mine in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. The geological report estimates the blockβs gross reserves at 620 MMT and net reserves at 558 MMT.
PNC Infratech: PNC Infratech emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Rs 297-crore project floated by the Airports Authority of India to develop Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Varanasi. The project involves extending and strengthening the runway, along with allied works. Financial bids opened on 2 September 2025, and the company must complete the project within 18 months.
