Tata Motors, ONGC, Maruti, HAL, RVNL, HG Infra, JSW Energy are in Focus

Equity benchmarks are likely to start the new week on a calm note amid sharp gains in oil prices. The Nifty could open around 40 points higher, as indicated by the SGX Nifty Index (quoted at 17,457).

The US stock benchmark surged as much as 1.7% on Friday.

ONGC/Oil India/RIL/ refiners: Crude oil prices rose 8% after OPEC+ unexpectedly cut production.

Auto stocks: Hero MotoCorp reported Saturday that total sales in March 2023 rose 15% to 5,19,342 units, compared to 4,50,154 units in the same month last year.

Automaker Maruti Suzuki reported its peak wholesale volume of 19,66,164 units, up 19% from FY22. Its domestic sales rose 21% to 17,06,831 vehicles. Tata Motors’ total domestic wholesale volume rose 3% to 89,351 units in March. The company sold 86,718 units in March 2022.

G R Infra: The company has received a letter of award from the National Highways Authority of India for constructing a 4-lane access road from Venkatpur village in Warangal district to Thalasenkesa. The project is worth Rs 847.87 crore. Also, the company has received a letter of award for a Rs 1,248.37 crore project to build a 6-lane greenfield Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata highway from Anarbansalea village to Sagrampur village in Bihar.

Hindustan Aeronautics: The defence company recorded a record operating revenue of Rs 26,500 crore in FY23, up 8% from FY22. The total order book by the end of March 2023 is around Rs 82,000 crore.

Udayshivakumar Infra: The road construction company will list on the exchange today. The issue price was fixed at Rs 35 per share.

HG Infra Engineering: The company has received a letter of award for the project worth Rs 925.11 crore from NHAI.

Karnataka Bank: CASA grew 8.7% year-on-year to Rs 28,807 crore in the fourth quarter. Gross deposits stood at Rs 87,362.6 crore, while gross advances rose 6.2% from last year to Rs 61,326.4 crore.

Bharat Electronics: The PSU achieved a turnover of around Rs 17,300 crore in FY23, a 15% increase from FY22 turnover. Its order book stands at Rs 60,500 crore on April 1, 2023, including about Rs 20,200 crore in FY23.

ICICI Bank: The bank has agreed to buy a 9.5% stake in Propertypistol Realty through shares and mandatorily convertible preference shares for Rs 22.5 crore.

PNC Infratech: The company has received orders worth Rs 3,264.43 crore.

Rail Vikas Nigam: A consortium of RVNL and TTIPL (Tracks & Towers Infratech) has received an award letter from NHAI for the construction of Rs 1,271.98 crore greenfield 6-lane Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata expressway project in Jharkhand on a mixed annuity model.

NCC: The company has received 5 new orders totalling Rs 1,919 crore excluding GST, in March 2023.

Ashoka Buildcon: The company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from the Ministry of Railways for the project worth Rs 284.65 crore.

Barbeque-Nation Hospitality: The company detected an IT security incident on one of its IT assets and quarantined the affected IT asset. The core business remains unaffected, with all restaurants operating at total capacity, offering dine-in and takeaway services.

Greenpanel Industries: Manufacturing operations at the MDF plant in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, have been suspended for about 20 days, effective April 1, 2023, due to routine maintenance at the plant.

EIH Associated Hotels: The company has acquired 40 acres of land from the government of Andhra Pradesh for the construction, development and operation of a five-star luxury hotel/resort in Visakhapatnam. The land is leased for 94 years, including a 4-year resort construction period.

JSW Energy: The company has secured a 300 MW hydro PSP project from PCKL.
