Tata Nexon EV crosses Sales Mark of 2000 Units in India

India’s auto major Tata Motors Ltd. announced that their first electric SUV Tata Nexon EV has crossed a sales benchmark of 2000 units. As of November 2020, the company has managed to sell about 2,200 units of Tata Nexon EV which show growing interests of consumers in the electric vehicle (EV) segment.
Tata Motors has launched Tata Nexon EV around 10 months back and since then, it has witnessed an increase in the demand for the EV segment. In August, the company has reached a sales milestone of 1000 units and managed to double the sales figures in just 3 months. Tata Motors claims that the Nexon EV is India’s best-selling electric car. It also claims to be a market leader in the EV segment with a 74 per cent market share. 
Shailesh Chandra, President of, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors said “This is a moment of great pride for us and those working with us in our journey to accelerate the adoption of EVs in India. The Tata Nexon EV, since launch, has captured the imagination of the entire nation and has consistently led the way for the electric vehicle segment.” 
The company has also introduced an e-mobility ecosystem “Tata uniEVerse” for accelerating the adoption of EVs and to leverage its strengths and experience for expanding the EV ecosystem. The e-mobility ecosystem provides consumers access to its suite of e-mobility offerings including charging solutions, different EV experiences, and easy financing options.
