Tata Power aims to monetise its non-core assets to trim debt

Tata Power has been planning to sell its non core assets for the purpose of bringing down its around Rs 49,000 crore  gross debt.

N Chandrasekaran, Tata Power chairman has said at the 98th AGM that “Our gross debt is Rs 48,816 crore. We are examining various debt reduction options including sale of non-core assets.”

He further said that at present, the gross debt to equity ratio stands at 3.3:1.
