Consumers can easily locate the two stations using the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app.

Tata Power, on 21 November, announced the initiation of its EV (electric vehicle) charging stations along the Chandigarh-Shimla highway, which covers a total distance of 111 kms on the popular route.

In its regulatory filing, the company said that they have strategically positioned its EZ charging stations at Hotel Falcon Crest on Chandigarh-Shimla Highway around Kandaghat, which is 83 km from Chandigarh, placed another at the Oberoi Cecil, Chaura Maidan Road near Shimla, which is 26 km away from Hotel Falcon Crest, to boost the feasibility of EV travel on the route.

The company added, “Consumers can easily locate the two stations using the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app. They can also make online payments for their charging sessions or use an RFID Card to simply Tap.Charge.Go.”

EV travellers who are coming from Delhi to Shimla can use the multiple charging points along the route. They can refuel at the scenic Kalaghat Falcon Crest hotel location and can later proceed to Shimla, where they can recharge again at Oberoi Shimla or Oberoi Wildflower Shimla.
