Shares of Tata Technologies Ltd are trading flat after hitting a day’s high of Rs 683.75 on 28th November, despite the firm announcing that it completed its acquisition of Germany-based Es-Tec GmbH and its subsidiaries on Thursday (27th November), closing the deal ahead of the earlier timeline of 31st December, 2025.

The €75-million acquisition, linked to performance milestones, strengthens Tata Technologies as a global engineering and R&D partner for major automakers.

The deal brings over 300 German engineers, skilled in ADAS, connected platforms, systems engineering, and embedded software, into Tata’s global network. It also boosts the company’s presence in Europe. Es-Tec’s Wolfsburg base gives direct access to major OEM programs, including BMW and Volkswagen.

By combining Es-Tec’s engineering and testing capabilities with its offshore delivery model, Tata Technologies aims to expand its role with global OEMs. It also plans to grow in areas like electrification and software-defined vehicles.

MD & CEO Warren Harris said the acquisition is a key step in transforming Tata Technologies into a global, independent engineering partner. It enhances support for automakers in critical technology transitions.
