UP Gets Rs 7.12 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals

The government of (UP) Uttar Pradesh informed that the state had received investment proposals from sixteen cities worth Rs 7,12,288 crores. After the declaration came, a team of ministers and officials from UP’s global tour invited companies, entrepreneurs and institutions globally to invest in the state.

During their tour, the team organised roadshows in 21 cities of 16 different countries, including the global Investors Summit in Lucknow on February 10 to 12, 2023, as per the government statement.

After returning from the visit on December 22, the ministerial delegation introduced the investment proposals received in detail in front of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and shared their visit experience. Also, the preparations for organising the Global Investors Summit with the state’s cabinet members and senior government officials.

According to media reports, CM Yogi said: “This is the first time a team from Uttar Pradesh has gone on a global tour since independence, inviting investors from all over the world.”

“It is very gratifying that roadshows in 16 countries have paved the way for over Rs 71.2 trillion in investments so far,” he said.

The investors have shown interest in sectors in which hospitality, drugs & pharma, food processing, medical devices, chemical, logistics warehousing, green hydrogen, tourism, EV battery manufacturing, and MSME. 

Companies like Saffron, Dassault, Air Liquide, Sanmina Corporation, Thomson, Computing, Silas, HMI Group, Ikea, Samsung, Ericsson, Motherson, NTT Global, and Mitsui have shown enthusiasm for investment in Uttar Pradesh, he said.

All the groups that had returned from foreign tours submitted detailed reports of their tours to the CM in a meeting review. They also expressed the need to continue the global tour of the Uttar Pradesh team for investment and were apprised of the investors’ expectations.
