VerifAIX Raises $5 Million in Seed Funding

The startup's platform focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of verification workflows.

Semiconductor verification startup VerifAIX has raised $5 million in a seed funding round as it works to develop AI-powered tools for chip verification.

The fresh capital will help the company expand its technology, build its engineering team and accelerate the development of solutions aimed at reducing the time required to verify semiconductor designs.

VerifAIX is developing an AI-based platform designed to help semiconductor companies verify hardware systems more efficiently. Its technology uses what the company describes as a “formal brain” model to focus on specification accuracy, coverage and verification completeness.

The platform is also designed to work with existing electronic design automation (EDA) tools used by semiconductor engineering teams.

Chip verification is an important stage in semiconductor development because companies need to identify design errors before a chip moves into manufacturing. As chip architectures become more complex, verification can require significant engineering time and resources. VerifAIX aims to use AI to automate parts of this process and help engineering teams reach verification closure faster.

The startup’s platform focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of verification workflows without requiring companies to replace the EDA tools they already use. This approach allows semiconductor teams to integrate AI-based verification into their existing development processes.

The funding comes as India’s semiconductor ecosystem continues to attract increasing investor interest. India has recorded $1.4 billion in cumulative equity funding across 281 semiconductor companies, with nearly half of that amount raised since 2025, according to Tracxn data cited by PTI. Bengaluru has emerged as a major hub for semiconductor funding activity.

VerifAIX’s latest funding highlights the growing focus on semiconductor design software and AI-driven engineering tools alongside investments in chip manufacturing and hardware.

The company plans to use the new capital to strengthen its product and engineering capabilities as demand for faster and more automated chip development grows.
