VRL Logistics has said that they are planning to start a regional airline.
Vijay Sankeshwar, the chairman of the transport and logistics firm alongwith Managing Director Anand Sankeshwar have expressed their intent to enter the new business activity in a letter to the Board of Directors.
In a letter to the Board of Directors of the company, both the promoters have said that “We are currently proposing to enter the civil aviation industry by incorporating a separate company to undertake the business of a regional airline. We have taken this in principle decision after a lot of study and inputs from industry experts.”
They have further said that they intended to promote the new airline and induct a professional management to manage the day to day operations and grow this business.
