Waaree Energies Shares Gain 1% on Solar Module Order

Shares of Waaree Energies Ltd turned green on 31 December after the company announced receiving a supply order for 1,500 MW of solar modules from a “renowned” customer involved in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution.

The order includes 1,000 MW of domestically built DCR modules and 500 MW of non-DCR modules, with delivery expected for the fiscal year 2026-27.

Separately, Waaree Energies entered the Futures and Options segment today, with F&O contracts for the January series and future expiries becoming tradeable in the present session.

On the management front, the company announced on 29 December the resignation of Amit Paithankar, its Whole Time Director and CEO, who has decided to leave to pursue possibilities outside the organisation.

The board accepted his resignation and agreed to relieve him on 15 May 2026, or on an earlier date as mutually agreed upon.

The board has also approved Jignesh Rathod, currently Director of Operations, as Chief Executive Officer designee, effective immediately.

Rathod will formally take over as CEO and key managerial people on 16 May 2026, or sooner if Paithankar is discharged earlier.

At 3:01 pm, the shares of Waaree Energies were trading 0.34% higher at Rs 2,990.50 on NSE.
