Shares of Waaree Energies Ltd gained 3% on Wednesday, 25 March, after the board approved capital expenditure for a glass manufacturing plant and agreed to raise its shareholding in a subsidiary.
At its meeting on 24 March, the company’s board of directors approved the acquisition of an additional equity holding in its subsidiary, Waaree Transpower, bringing the total stake to 75.10% of Waaree Transpower’s paid-up equity share capital.
The board also approved Rs 3,900 crore in capital expenditure for its fully owned subsidiary Waaree Green Glass’s glass manufacturing plant, which has a capacity of 2,500 TPD.
The capex will be funded through a combination of financing and internal accruals.
On 12 September 2025 and 07 April 2025, the stock reached a 52-week high of Rs 3,864.40 and a low of Rs 1,808.65.
At 3:30 pm, the shares of Waaree Energies closed 2.96% higher at Rs 3,178 on NSE.
