Wipro Shares Witness Marginal Gains Over Sale of a 14.02-acre Land Parcel in Chennai

The consolidated revenue during the quarter stood at Rs 22,205 crore.

Wipro Ltd shares snapped a five-day losing streak on Tuesday, a day after completing the sale of a prime property in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. 

As per the September 25 exchange filing, the IT services company said it had completed the sale of a 14.02-acre land parcel, along with a 20-year-old building measuring approximately 5,89,778 square feet in Chennai to Casagrand Bizpark Pvt Ltd, for a sale consideration of Rs 266.38 crore. 

The property is situated at Wipro Street, Sholinganallur, Chennai. The transaction was not categorised as a related party transaction.

At 12:05 am, shares of Wipro Ltd were trading at Rs 414.20, 0.02% higher than the last closing price on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The scrip opened 0.65% higher at Rs 416.80. 

The company recently witnessed a five-day losing streak with several senior-level exits, including its chief financial officer, Jatin Pravinchandra Dalal and Vice President Gurvinder Sahni.
