Shares of WPIL Ltd jumped 7% to hit a dayβs high of Rs 422.90 on 18th November after the firm announced it has received a Rs 426-crore contract from Matla a Metsi Joint Venture, to be commissioned within four years.
WPIL has secured the contract to handle all electromechanical and instrumentation work for Phase 2 of the Mokolo Crocodile Water Augmentation Project. This project will channel water from the Mokolo dam to the Waterberg region. It aims to meet the needs of local water stations and the Lephalale municipality.
Earlier this year, WPILβs European arm, Gruppo Aturia, acquired Italian firm MISA SRL. MISA SRL is a leading player in large pumping station projects and hydro turbines. This acquisition strengthens Gruppo Aturiaβs position in Europe. Furthermore, it expands its ability to deliver full turnkey pumping solutions.
At 2:15 PM, shares of WPIL Ltd were trading 5.79% higher at Rs 409.20 on BSE.
