Bengaluru deep-tech startup Yaanendriya has raised Rs 15 crore from Piper Serica, its first institutional round, to build navigation sensors.

The company builds the kind of technology that helps machines figure out where they are and how they’re moving, even when GPS signals are jammed, blocked or simply not available.

Think drones flying indoors, underwater vehicles, or spacecraft where satellite navigation doesn’t reach.

Yaanendriya’s products include the SynCore range of navigation controllers and the YDX line of inertial sensing modules, both aimed at robots, drones and other unmanned systems.

Founder Vamshi Bharadwaj M V said the company began with navigation controllers, moved into high precision inertial sensing, and is now combining both for tougher environments where standard navigation tends to fail.

The fresh capital will go toward research, faster product development and building out the company’s navigation portfolio.

This isn’t the startup’s first source of funding, just its first from a venture investor.

Before Piper Serica came in, Yaanendriya had been running on non-dilutive support from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Government of Karnataka.

It’s also incubated at ARTPARK, the AI and robotics research park housed at IISc Bengaluru. On the business side, the numbers are still early stage.

Yaanendriya reported around Rs 72 lakh in revenue for FY26 and has already booked Rs 48 lakh in the first quarter of FY27.

The company is targeting close to Rs 5.4 crore for the full year, banking on stronger sales of its navigation controllers and sensing systems along with custom development work for clients.

It counts more than 20 customers so far, including an MoU with the 515 Army Base Workshop in Bengaluru, though how many of those relationships have converted into actual orders hasn’t been made public.
