Shares of Zen Technologies skyrocketed 12% on 2 November after the defence technology company reported strong financial results for the September quarter of FY27.
The company recorded a sharp increase in profit and revenue, supported by higher demand for its defence training and anti drone systems. Zen Technologies reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 89.54 crore for Q2 FY27, up 50.7% from Rs 59.40 crore in the same quarter last year.
Revenue from operations increased 98.8% to Rs 345.13 crore compared with Rs 173.57 crore a year earlier. The company also reported an operational EBITDA of Rs 131.99 crore, with a margin of 38.2%.
This was the company’s highest ever quarterly revenue, reflecting improved execution and strong demand for its products.
Zen Technologies received fresh orders worth Rs 481.81 crore during the quarter. This increased its consolidated order book to Rs 1,375.70 crore as of 30 September 2026.
The company said demand is being supported by the government’s growing focus on domestic defence manufacturing. Around 82% of recently approved capital acquisition proposals by the Defence Acquisition Council are earmarked for procurement from the domestic defence industry.
Zen Technologies expects to benefit from India’s increasing focus on defence indigenisation. Its in-house technology capabilities also allow it to modify products quickly according to the changing requirements of the armed forces.
At 12:16 pm, the shares of Zen Technologies were trading 11.06% higher at Rs 1,764.00 on NSE.
