Zomato’s Revenue Rises to Rs 844 Crore in April-June

Zomato’s revenue from operations rose to 844.4 crores in April-June, recording year-on-year growth of above 200 per cent. Total losses increased to Rs 360.7 crore in Q1FY22 from Rs 99.8 crore from the last year. Adjusted revenue gained by 26 per cent quarter-over-quarter (q-o-q) to 1,160 crores in Q1FY22. Adjusted revenue is revenue from operations and customer delivery charges.

“It took us six years to get to this milestone, and we hope it takes less time to deliver the next billion. The fact that over 10 per cent of orders were delivered in the last three months makes us confident about getting to the next billion much sooner,” Founder & CEO Deepinder Goyal said.

The food delivery business reported a record gross order value, several orders, transacting users, active restaurant partners and active delivery partners during the quarter. It grew by 37 per cent q-o-q to Rs 4,540 crore in Q1FY22.
