The representative from the government side, Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Sherma Dalrymple, βstrongly objectedβ to Choksiβs appeal calling him a flight risk. The judge adjourned the matter till June 11, it said. The high court is also hearing a separate matter of habeas corpus filed by Choksiβs team, which has also been adjourned.
Choksi had mysteriously gone missing on May 23 from Antigua and Barbuda, where he has been staying since 2018 as a citizen. He was arrested in neighbouring island country Dominica for illegal entry after a possible escape.
