Goa has made 5-day quarantine compulsory for passengers from Kerala due to an increase in covid-19 cases in the southern state, officials said. A notification said the Goa government increased the currently going curfew till September 20. The notification also declared that “all students and employees coming from Kerala shall be quarantined for five days”.

“The legal personnel, health care specialists and their spouses, children under two years of age, and those coming to attend the death of a family member or medical emergency and tourists from and to Kerala by any transport are exempted from quarantine,” the notification added.
