Twitter announced the launch of a feature through which users can showcase non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as their profile pictures, tapping into a craze of digital collectables that has exploded in the last year.

The feature is available on iOS to users of the Twitter Blue subscription service, which connects their Twitter accounts to crypto wallets where they store NFT holdings.

Twitter displays the NFT profile pictures as hexagons, differentiating them from the standard circle profile pictures. The pictures will display the art and its ownership. Twitter is trying to bring crypto trends like NFTs to its platform. It also added features for users to send and receive Bitcoin.
