The Supreme Court permitted Future Retail Ltd (FRL) to approach the Delhi High Court to let the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) move forward with the procedures of the FRL’s agreement to sell its assets to Reliance Retail.

“We allow FRL to approach the High Court in applying,” Chief Justice N V Ramana said in his order. The Supreme Court bench, including Chief Justice Ramana and Justices A S Bopanna and Hima Kohli, had secured its judgement in FRL’s petition. And last week, the court had rejected Amazon’s request to file written submission in that matter.
