India recorded 4,575 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,29,75,883, while the active cases dropped to 46,962, according to the Union Health Ministry data.

The number of people recovered from the coronavirus increased to 4,24,13566, and the case fatality rate was registered at 1.20 per cent. The daily positivity rate was at 0.51 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.62 per cent. The vaccine doses given under the Covid-19 vaccination drive has surpassed the 179.33 Crores mark.
