PM Modi Congratulates South Korean President-Elect Yoon Suk-Yeol on Victory

PM Narendra Modi congratulated President-elect Yoon Suk-Yeol on his South Korean Presidential elections. PM Modi congratulated him on Twitter and said, “I warmly congratulate President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol on his victory in Presidential elections. I look forward to working with him to expand further and strengthen the India-ROK Special Strategic Partnership.”


Yoon Suk-yeol, a candidate from the People Power Party, has been chosen as the President of South Korea with all votes counted, according to the country’s National Election Commission. The presidential elections in South Korea were started on 9th March. The voter turnout was 77.1 per cent, and over 34 million people out of over 44 million voters cast their ballots, media reports said.
