On a consolidated basis, the net profit of IRCTC jumped 42.54 per cent to Rs 226.03 crore on a 98.99 per cent rise in revenue from operations to Rs 805.80 crore in the September quarter of FY23 over in the September quarter of FY22.

Yearly, revenue from the Catering business, revenue from Internet Ticketing business, revenue from the Rail Neer business and revenue from Tourism business was at Rs 334.41 crore, Rs 300.26, Rs 72.05 crore, and Rs 69.46 crore, respectively.
PBT stood at Rs 307.46 crore in Q2FY23, which registered a growth of 43.88 per cent from Rs 213.69 crores posted in Q2FY22. Total expenses rise at 152.85 per cent YoY to Rs 524.33 crore in the second quarter of FY23. The cost of materials consumed zoomed 119.45 per cent to Rs 19.29 crore in the second quarter of FY23 from Rs 8.79 crore reported in the second quarter of FY22.
The GOI held a 67.4 per cent stake in IRCTC at the end of the second quarter of FY23. On BSE, IRCTCβs shares went down by 2.37 per cent to Rs 740.90.
