The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index stocks, was trading higher by 26 points at 25,451, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a positive start on Thursday.

Earlier on Wednesday, 15 October, the Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained by 575 points or 0.70%, and settled at 82,605, while the Nifty50 traded 0.71% lower or 178 points, closing at 25,324.

Here are some stocks that are likely to remain in focus on 16 October.

Quarterly Results Today: Nestle India, LTIMindtree, Eternal, Infosys, Wipro, Jio Financial Services, JSW Infrastructure, Indian Bank, Alok Industries, Ganesh Consumer Products, Indian Overseas Bank, CIE Automotive India, Crizac, Cyient, Ivalue Infosolutions, Kajaria Ceramics, Mastek, Rallis India, South Indian Bank, Metro Brands, Punjab & Sind Bank, Sunteck Realty, Vikram Solar, Zee Entertainment, and Waaree Energies are some of the prominent companies set to announce their quarterly earnings for July-September. 

Bharat Electronics: Bharat Electronics secured additional orders worth Rs 592 crore since 29 September. The new contracts include supplies for tank subsystems and overhauling, communication systems, combat management systems, ship data networks, the Kavach train collision avoidance system, laser dazzlers, jammers, upgrades, and spares.

Jyoti Structures: Jyoti Structures received an order worth Rs 288.36 crore from AESL Projects for the +800 kV HVDC Bhadla 3 – Fatehpur transmission line. The turnkey project includes tower supply, survey, soil testing, foundation work, erection, stringing, testing, and commissioning.

KEC International: KEC International, part of the RPG Group, won a new order worth Rs 1,038 crore to design, supply, and install a 380 kV GIS substation in Saudi Arabia. This latest win pushed the company’s year-to-date (YTD) order book beyond Rs 16,000 crore.

Indian Energy Exchange: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) issued one of its most significant insider trading orders involving Indian Energy Exchange shares. The regulator uncovered illicit trades worth over Rs 173 crore after a swift investigation and search operations carried out roughly a month ago.

Hero MotoCorp: Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, officially entered the Spanish market through a partnership with Noria Motos, a subsidiary of the ONEX Group. The company also launched its Euro 5+ compliant models in Spain.
