Apple iPhones Registers 48% Growth in India

Apple’s iPhone registered a 48 per cent growth in shipments in India in the year 2021 and recorded a 4.4 per cent market share for the whole year. Apple shipped 5.4 million iPhones to India. Every quarter, the company registered a 34 per cent growth from October to December.

In the previous year, Apple continued to record market gains due to an increased share of domestic manufacturing, aggressive retail initiatives, and strong consumer demand in the festive season. iPhone 12 was the most bought model in Q4 in India, followed by iPhone 11, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max. In the July-September period, Apple had shipped more than 1.53 million iPhone units in the country.

Apple has now begun assembling its latest flagship iPhone 13 in India, as they want to manufacture and make its smartphones in the country. And as a trial basis, the tech giant has started to assemble its Iphone13 at the Foxconn plant in Chennai and it will soon be available in the local market, as well as for exports from the country by the following year.
