Apple warned users of ‘slow or unavailable’ service in many cases but did not specify the reason behind the problem. Thousands of users reported the outage on detecting site Down Detector issues with iMessage and iCloud. The problems also affected corporate employees working from home and stopped retail workers from completing tasks. The outage has also restricted product repairs, swaps, and item pickups. This was one of the most widespread outages which impacted Apple’s full range of services.
