Hinduja Group’s flagship Ashok Leyland said on Monday that it had joined forces with Mahindra First Choice Wheels to enter the used commercial vehicle business. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd (MFCWL).
As part of the partnership, the phygital platform will facilitate the exchange and proper disposal and purchase of used commercial vehicles. With its entry into the space, the commercial vehicle major reportedly aims to simplify the used vehicle market by leveraging its digital ecosystem, physical interactions at more than 700 parking lots across the country with existing and potential channel partners, and other advanced technologiesβa statement.
In a statement, Ashok Leyland said that through an effective and efficient process, the company would bring more transparency to the field, thereby increasing options to reduce the number of older vehicles driving on Indian roads.

With facilities such as swap, disposal, hybrid, and special vehicle inspections, the platform aims to be the first choice for customers considering swapping vehicles, said Ashok Leyland.
