Court Discharges Arvind Kejriwal, 9 Others in CS Assault Case

The special court dismissed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and nine other AAP MLAs in an alleged assault case on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash in 2018. Soon after the court declared the order, senior AAP leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia claimed the victory of truth. “Court has discharged Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in CS assault case. Satyamav Jayate,” Sisodia said in a tweet. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also tweeted, “Satyameva Jayate.”

The case was linked with the assault on Prakash in a meeting at Kejriwal’s official residence on February 19, 2018. Other than the chief minister and his deputy, 9 AAP MLAs were also named accused in the case. The assault had initiated a fight between the Delhi government and its administrators.
