Home interior solutions startup Design Café has raised $25 million in a funding round. The grant was led by existing investors WestBridge Capital and joined by Sixth Sense Ventures, the company told. This takes its total budget to Rs 366 crore. The company said it would use the fresh funds for extension in new cities. It is planning to open stores in the top 10 cities in the next 18 months.
Founded in 2015 by Gita Ramanan and Shezan Bhojani, Design Café has an integrated business model, with its designers, workforce, and a factory in Bengaluru manufacturing all its products. It currently runs in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad, with new centres to launch in Chennai and Thane, the company said in a statement.

“These funds will support us to take our services and products to more markets and invest more in technology and people,” Chief Executive Officer Shezan Bhojani said. The company plans to expand its gross annual booking price to Rs 600-Rs 700 crores in the upcoming 24 months. A large part of which will come from growth in the Home segment.
