On Wednesday, GreenZo Energy announced its plan to infuse Rs 400 crore for setting up a 250 MW Electrolyser factory. Also, the company has to make more investments in R&D for green hydrogen electrolyser output in this financial year 2022.
Meanwhile, GreenZo will also invest Rs 70 crore in R&D (Research & Development) to produce the green hydrogen electrolyser until the financial year FY23. As per media reports, up to setup, a 250MW electrolyser factory would consume an investment of Rs 3-4 billion in the financial year 2025, as per media reported.

As per GreenZo, the investment will ensure the availability at the end of the year for solutions within the country and cut down on imports of this crucial equipment. It added, “local production of electrolysers is crucial to bringing the cost of green hydrogen to $1-2 per kilogram by 2030.”
