HUL’s Three Brands Enter Rs 2,000 Cr Club in FY22

On Wednesday, Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) saw three of its brands named Vim, Rin, and Dove hit Rs 2,000 crore in sales last fiscal year, the company said. On the other hand, HUL brands include detergent brand Wheel, health food drink Horlicks, personal care brand Lifebuoy and Glow & Lovely cream.

As per investor presentation, invested in this brand Surf Excel and tea brand Brooke Bond of Rs 5,000 crore.

“We now have 16 brands with more than Rs 1,000 crore each. Dove, Vim and Rin joined the Rs 2,000 crore club taking the total to nine brands,” according to the Ritesh Tiwari, Chief Financial Officer, HUL.

Also, the overview of the company on digital initiatives and the instance of e-commerce B2B Shikhar app added more retailers in the whole year.

“Talking about digital transformation, our e-b2b app Shikhar is now in more than 8,00,000 stores. Our digitised demand capture has crossed 20 per cent. Lakme scaling up…and gets 30 per cent of its sales online,” Tiwari said.

For FY22, HUL, India’s largest packaged consumer goods company, reported a turnover of Rs 50,336 crore, up 11 per cent year-on-year, with volumes rising 3 per cent. The company reported its highest market share gain in the last decade.

However, in 2022, HUL reported Rs 900 crore in turnover from innovations and new launches.
