Shares of KEC International Ltd soared 8% on Tuesday, 23 September, after the company obtained fresh contracts worth Rs 3,243 crore in its transmission and distribution (T&D) division the day before.

The company stated that this comprises its largest EPC deal to date. The new contracts include 400 kV transmission lines in the UAE and the provision of towers, gear, and poles in the Americas.

Earlier, in August, the company announced securing new orders worth Rs 1,402 crore, and during the month of July, it secured orders worth Rs 1,509 crore across its various business verticals.

KEC International Ltd posted a good set of figures for the April-June quarter of FY25, with net profit growing 42.3% year-on-year to Rs 125 crore, from Rs 87.6 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company’s consolidated sales increased by 11.3% YoY to Rs 5,023 crore from Rs 4,512 crore in the previous year, owing to strong growth across all categories.

Operating performance also improved dramatically. EBITDA increased by 29.5% year on year to Rs 350 crore, with margins increasing to 7% from 6% the previous year due to improved cost savings and project execution.

At 11:50 am, the shares of KEC International were trading 4.65% higher at Rs 906.50 on NSE.
