Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the beneficiaries of the “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana” in Uttar Pradesh tomorrow through video conferencing.

The Prime Minister’s Office said that the state would celebrate August 5 as Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana Day. A considerable awareness programme will be launched in the state to make sure that no beneficiary is left out from getting the scheme’s benefits, it added.

Almost 15 crore beneficiaries of the state have been getting ration free of cost under the scheme. Nearly 80,000 Kirana shops in the state have been giving food grains to the beneficiaries of the project.
